5/17/10 - ICE CREAM RECIPE
In small zip lock bag, mix 1/2 cup whole milk (or half and half), 1 Tablespoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Seal bag.
Place the bag inside a gallon size zip lock bag. Pour ice into the large bag until the small bag is covered. Don't put in too much ice or the large bag will rip.
Add about 1/4 cup of rock salt to ice. Seal large bag and shake for 10 minutes.
4/29/10 - LOOKING FOR A SUMMER CAMP? AEROSPACE TRAINING
SOUTHAMPTON, PA, USA, April 27, 2010- Environmental Tectonics Corporation's (OTC Bulletin Board: ETCC) ("ETC" or the "Company") The National AeroSpace Training and Research (NASTAR®) Center announced today that it will conduct a series of day camp programs for students in grades 4 - 6 and 7 - 8.
Called NASTAR Camp (part of NASTAR Center's outreach arm, NASTAR U), each session will last five days, Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The NASTAR Camp curriculum has been structured to be fun while reinforcing the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Science and Technology and Engineering Education. All curricula is age and grade appropriate.
Camp participants will construct balloon powered cars to learn about Newton's Laws of Motion, launch small gliders to understand the forces of flight, create simple weather instruments, and engage in other activities that foster inquiry-based learning.
William F. Mitchell, President and Chairman of ETC, stated "We are pleased to open the NASTAR Center to elementary and middle school students for this program. This nation is facing future shortages of skilled engineers and scientists. We hope NASTAR Camp will inspire some of these young people to pursue technical careers."
NASTAR Camp sessions for 2010 will be as follows:
Grades 4 - 6: June 28 - July 2 and July 12 - 16
Grades 7 - 8: July 19 - 23 and July 26 - 30
The cost for the five-day session is $400.00 per participant. This includes all supplies. Participants will have to bring lunches each day; mid-morning snacks will be provided.
