ClassroomPlus
 |
| Classroom Plus is a statewide initiative that provides grants of up to $500 to parents of children who need support in reading and math. Children in kindergarten through 9th grade are eligible to participate in the program if they score below proficient levels on the PSSA or other state approved standardized tests. Support/tutoring can be provided only by teachers, institutions, or organizations that are registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Education as “approved providers.”
Parents or guardians can download an application from http://www.classroomplus.k12.pa.us or call the Classroom Plus hotline at 1-800-698-2720 and request a tutoring application for their child. There is a place on the application for school personnel to verify eligibility. The completed application then gets mailed by the parent to Classroom Plus for final authorization.
Parents may choose any approved tutor for their child from the “provider list” on the Classroom Plus website. Central Bucks School District, as an entity, is not a provider of Classroom Plus tutoring services. Any individual teachers who affiliate with Classroom Plus do so as independent providers and are individually listed on the Classroom Plus provider list. The provider list also includes a variety of institutions, agencies, and Support Service entities that have been established for this purpose. All arrangements are made directly with these approved providers. |
