Q: Is there a way to make a link in flipchart that opens up internet explorer? My links keep opening in ActivStudio’s browser, and it won’t access the page that I need to get to.
A:If you prefer to open your default system browser instead, click on Menu > Studio Settings... Linked File Hosting, and clear the Use Web Browser checkbox.
Laptop Questions
Q: This morning I came in to find that my laptop won't turn on.
A: Sometimes, if you take the battery out and press the power key a few times, the computer resets. Then, reinsert the battery and try to power up again.
Q: My computer will not connect to the internet, what can I do?
A: Check to see that the button on the front of the computer is showing green. Also, maybe this video will help.
Outlook 2007
Q: How do I configure my laptop so that I can use Outlook 2007?
A: Go to "start"---"all programs"---"Microsoft Office"---"Outlook 2007". If you are logged onto your laptop as yourself, keep clicking next and the configurations will be done automatically.
Q: For some reason my inbox is no longer displaying subjects for emails. How can I set it up so email can be organized by date received while also displaying the subject?
A: On the "View menu", point to "Arrange by", point to "Current View", and then click "Customize Current View". Click "Fields."
Blogginng
Q: I would like to have my students collaboratively blog about a topic during a science class using their laptops and my wiki. How can I screen a post before it actually appears so that I can filter inappropriate content?
A: You could try creating a Class Blogmeister. To create a Blogmeister account you need a School Access Code. Email a CFF coach if you would like this code. Here are some instructions for Blogmeister created by Jennifer Dorman.

Microsoft Office 2007
Q: How do I hide the top toolbar?
A: The toolbar is called a ribbon. Right click the bottom of the toolbar and click "Minimize the Ribbon."
