Students will:
Demonstrate knowledge of the Five Fundamental Themes of Geography
Identify key persons and events in the history and current society of Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia
Demonstrate knowledge of the resources of the four regions and their major economic advantages and disadvantages
Describe the types of government in the four regions being studied, as well as the role of the citizen in those regions
Explain the effect of prejudice against various ethnic groups
Demonstrate an understanding of the societal customs and culture of the four regions, including language, religion, and ethnic background and problems
Describe the inter-relatedness of the United States with the regions being studied
Demonstrate an awareness of current events. The student will relate current events to the regions of study.
