FLEXIBLE BENEFITS

All benefits are effective the first day of the month following 30 days of service; coordination of benefits with any alternate coverage currently in effect; eligibility includes spouse and children to age 19 (23 if FT student).  Yearly option to change plans during Open Enrollment period.

      A. Health and Hospitalization Insurance:

        1.  Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Option:Central Bucks Choice” self-insured plan.  In-network benefit includes $15 PCP co-pay and wellness care.  Out-of-network benefits have surgical and hospitalization co-pays.

        2.  HMO Option:  Aetna Citizen 5  plan.  Mandatory use of network physician and facilities – no out of network benefits available.  Benefits include $5 PCP co-pay, wellness and eye care.  Also includes basic dental for children age 11 and under.


      B. Prescription Drug :   $10/$20/$35 generic/pref brand/non-pref brand deductible per Rx (limited to cost of generic equivalent if one exists)

      C.  Dental Insurance:  Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, $2,000 per year maximum benefit.

      D. Life Insurance:  Based on 1 times employee’s base annual salary.  Double coverage for accidental death

      E. Short Term Disability (income protection) Provides $500 weekly maximum.

      F. Long Term Disability:  Optional program funded through payroll deductions; premium based on age and salary.  Provides 60% of weekly salary until age 65.

      G.  Flexible Spending Accounts  (Section 125 plan).  Optional, tax-free accounts, funded via payroll deductions, may be established for:

        a. Medical expenses ($2,000/year maximum
        b. Dependent Care ($5,000/year maximum)

         

RETIREMENT

  • Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS)
  • 7.5% mandatory payroll deduction from gross pay; district and state also contribute to fund the system
  • 403b (supplemental) accounts available through payroll deduction


MISCELLEANOUS

  • BEACON – Bucks Employee Assistance Consortium.  Available (at no cost) to all employees and their dependents.  24-hour helpline available.
  • Generous Sick Leave plan
