Reading Olympics News 2009/2010:

Oct. 2009: Reading Olympics will begin after the winter break.  Interest letters will go home to 5th and 6th grade students in November.  Students may begin reading from the list at anytime. 

February 1, 2010:  T-shirt letters/emails went home this week.  If you have not yet reserved your child's size, please contact Mrs. Keegan at bkeegan@cbsd.org. The teams have been doing well during the mock competitions!

Our teams names are:

E=MC Readers (coached by Mrs. Hannon)
The Purple Pickles (coached by Mr. Zakroff)
The Book Thieves (coached by Mr. Cochran)
The Institution of the Yummy, Gummy Bookworms (coach=Hannon)
The Ting Tings  (coached by Mrs. Keegan)
and the Teletubbies (coached by Mrs. Keegan)

General Information

Date:  March 25th from 5:30-8:45?  The first round starts promptly at 6 pm. 

*Parking is tight.  If you can walk or carpool, please do so.

Where:  Mill Creek E.S. --Room assignments will go home the week of the Olympics

Party:  We will host a party in the library after school, so that the kids do not have to go home and come right back.  Dinner, drinks, and snacks will be served.  We do need a few parents to help supervise pizza and snack service for 104 children, so if you are interested contact Mrs. Keegan. 

 

 

 

               Reading Olympics Book List
