Ever wonder how to pick a book you are sure to enjoy? The articles on this page will help point you in the right direction. Younger students should use the 5 Finger Test to help decide if the book will be readable or a struggle. Everyone would benefit from thinking about How To Choose A Good Book, and Central Bucks teachers and librarians have put together a really great list of authors in the Authors No Child Should Miss lists. The lists are divided into types (genre) of books and there is a list for K-3 and one for 4-6. You can also link to the American Library Association's lists of Caldecott and Newbery Award winning books. Don't forget to ask Miss Thomas or the public librarian for suggestions! . |
