TAMANEND TODAY: Do you have a flair for speaking, a desire for fame, a dream to be a television star? Do you want to raise your visibility here at Tamanend and take that first step towards stardom? If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, then we have an opportunity for you! Beginning later in September, Tamanend Today will return to the airwaves. We need several students of talent for the visible and important roles as anchors on our morning TV Show to deliver the news, sports and weather of the day. If you would like to be one of the featured anchors of our morning crew, please see Mr. Sterner in Room 41 TODAY for your application to audition. Application forms MUST be returned to Mr. Sterner NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, September 9th. A returned form will guarantee you an audition time. Act now so you don't miss your opportunity.
TENNIS ANNOUNCEMENT: All Lady Tigers interested in playing tennis this fall at Tamanend should plan on attending a brief informational meeting this Friday, September 5, 2008 in room #325. The meeting will last until 3:15 and all students must have a ride to pick them up upon its completion. The first practice of the season for the tennis team will be on Monday, September 8th and all athletes must have an updated physical form at the time or they will not be able to practice. Coach Blair and Coach Landis look forward to seeing you on the courts.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: Welcome Back, Tamanend! There is already an opportunity to help with community service this year. Students are needed to help sell VOSH bracelets next week during lunch. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Higgins in room 37, during Resource today.
9th Grade Field Hockey: Reminder to anyone interested in trying out for the Tamanend Field Hockey team, Try-Outs start this Monday directly after school on the field. Bring everything you will need to practice including plenty of water.
Please turn all physicals into Coach Rice in Room 234 by the end of the day today. If you cannot attend, please bring it first thing Monday morning.
8TH and 9TH GRADE SOCCER: There will be a mandatory meeting after school on Monday, September 8th in Mr. Schmidt's room 236. You need to bring your physical form to the meeting. The meeting will be approximately 30 minutes. Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, 9/9. You must have your physical form completed and turned in to the coaches in order to tryout.
