Registration

Registration Process During the School Year
(For eg., if you've moved into the District, or are changing schools within CB)

If you would like to register you child in CBSD or change schools within the district, you will need to complete a two-part process.

Step One: Contact the Central Registration Office at 267-893-2111 or CentralRegistration@cbsd.org, and make an appointment to register with the district.

Step Two:  After you are registered with Central Bucks, you may then contact Unami Guidance Secretary Carol Aubin (267-893-3410) to make an appointment to enroll your child in Unami Middle School.  During this visit, you and your child will receive information about Unami and schedule classes with a counselor. All new students must take a Math Placement Test and those anticipating placement in Advanced/Honors English classes must take an English Placement Test.   Each test will take approximately one hour to complete.  The test can often be taken on the day of registration, but may need to be scheduled for an alternate date based on time constraints

Registration Process for the Next School Year

Parents who would like to register their students for next year need to follow the same procedure outlined above:  First, contact Central Registration, and second, contact the Guidance Secretary at Unami.  You will be scheduled to enroll your student at one of several Orientation Sessions held throughout the spring and summer months.

Orientation meetings begin at 9AM and run to approximately 11AM.
For directions to Unami, click here.

Please bring the following documents to ensure proper enrollment and placement into appropriate academic classes and electives.

You can access the database when you are in school without a  password, but from home you will need a username and password.  The username is:  unami and the password is :  research.

Feel free to guide students to the site and if you would like you can put a link to it our your website as well.  Here is the page with the jpegs and such you can add to your site if you’d like.

START

In Pennsylvania, every middle school and high school have a Student Assistance Program (SAP).  At Unami, we have a START Team ("STudents At Risk" Team), which is designed to help identify and support students who may be at risk for various concerns.  Some "high risk" concerns may include substance abuse, physical and sexual abuse, eating disorders, depression, school phobia, suicide prevention, and truancy.  Our START team is staffed by Unami teachers, counselors, the nurse, administrators, and appropriate agencies from the community.  START members are trained to identify and refer high risk students for appropriate assessment.

Confidential referrals for high-risk students come from students, parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and/or community members.  If there is a concern for the physical and emotional well-being of a student, please contact any START member (Referral forms are available in the Guidance Department).

Members of the 2010-2011 Unami START Team include:

Jonathan Boyle (Dean of Students); Stacy Caldwell (teacher); Catherine McLaughlin (counselor); Sherry Dulsky (teacher); Scott Fischer (teacher); Kathy Houpert (counselor); Janet Kueny (teacher); Kim Leonardo (teacher); Leanne Lukens (teacher); and Tom Swanson (teacher).

Team interventions occur for the benefit of the students, their families, and the school by relaying factual information to the students and their families.  The goal of the intervention is to encourage the students to seek further assistance in addressing the problems that face them.

The following agencies (and links) have been an integral part of our START team, and can provide additional assistance and community referrals upon request.  Please refer to the blue pages of your telephone directory for a comprehensive listing of available human services.

Bucks County Council for Alcohol and Drug Dependence

Lenape Valley Foundation
