Reading- comprehension (understanding what you read), decoding (recognizing words in isolation or in text), fluency ( reading with accuracy, flow and expression)
Strategies for good readers - rereading, main idea and details, sequencing, cause and effect
Writing - developing focus (stick to the point), content (adding creative ideas, good word choices), organization (transition words to move in a logical sequence), style (making your writing sound like you are talking through words), and conventions (punctuation, capitalization, verb tense, sentence structure)
Math - computation (basic facts using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), problem solving, real world application (measurement, time, money, etc.)
